Anne Linton

Anne Linton is a collage artist and creator of objets de curiosité. Anne attended Queen’s University (BFA ’82) with a focus on sculpture. Her creative energy over the last few decades has been directed to the culinary world where she worked as a chef.

Anne has always been a passionate collector with a particular interest in things from the natural world as well as objects that have been shaped by the forces of nature. Her inspiration comes from such diverse sources as the 16th-century paintings of composite heads by Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, shell grottos, decorative shellwork, and the visual art of Mexico’s Day of the Dead celebration.
