Elizabeth Sarich-Harvey

Elizabeth Sarich-Harvey is a mixed media artist who uses painting and printing techniques to create modern textured vignettes on paper ,canvas and textiles. Her work reflects the inspiration from her surroundings where fields, forest, and lakes meet the sky. She was born in the medieval town of Labin, Croatia, on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, and moved to Toronto as a child. While the views of the beach and architecture remain a distant dream they continue to inspire her daily. She is informed and invigorated by nature's everyday colours, texture and movements which are often captured in her ”Postcards from the Farm''. As an artist, she strives to create work that embraces the comfort and intrigue of one’s surroundings.

While her passion for painting developed later in life, Elizabeth has always been an artist and designer. Self trained, she spent her early career in advertising and the later in fashion and interior design before retiring to try her hand as a full-time artist. Her work has been on display across South Eastern Ontario. Elizabeth lives just outside Prince Edward County, on the shores of the Adolphus Reach, where she works from her home studio overlooking Lake Ontario and 30 acres of farmland.
