“I’m an artist who sweats the small stuff. Driven by a desire for pixel perfection, rhythmic flow and a depth of meaning that rewards all who choose to look a little closer. My background in graphic design and creative writing offers typography as a common thread with which to stitch together my visual stories and show the familiar from a new perspective. The results are striking, designed to draw you in from across the room. The Propagate collection considers the process of renewal through the eyes of plants as they undergo propagation: the initial confusion, the grief for what’s been lost in the change, and the promise of what comes next. I found as I was creating this collection that my experiences as a British immigrant in Canada flowed naturally into the work and, as a result, the pieces invite the viewer to contemplate the parallels between plant and human processes of renewal.”
