Ali Harrison is the mastermind behind “Light + Paper”, her custom papercutting business. Ali received a masters in community development and adult education, and stumbled across paper cutting while searching for DIY Christmas gift ideas online.

Preferring a blade to a pen, Ali first creates her designs by cutting paper by hand. These intricate, unique patterns are then transformed into a variety of fun lasercut housewares or other goods.

All of Ali's original pieces are designed by hand, and Ali lasercuts all of the prototypes and many of the reproductions in her small Toronto studio.
