Melt Studio + Gallery is excited to invite you to experience an upcoming group exhibition featuring work by selected members of our artist roster. “Pairings” draws inspiration from the gallery’s unique location in the beautiful wine country region of Prince Edward County, Ontario.
Each of the participating artists in this exhibition has been thoughtfully “paired” with one another. Each artist initially provided one existing piece, which was offered up as inspiration to another artist. The artworks featured in the show are all a result of this initial inspiration.
Prior to the show’s opening, a wine from Prince Edward County will be paired with each art coupling, resulting in a synesthetic experience for the viewer that ties back to the county’s wine-rich ecosystem. Please join us for this celebration of community, wine, and art, the exhibition will run from June 27–July 1.

The main gallery primarily showcases the work of Canadian encaustic artist Susan Wallis. Over the last 20 years of working in the encaustic medium, Susan has developed a unique, recognizable style that she applies to her interpretation of the natural world.

Periodically, Susan shares the gallery space with other artists through hosting group and solo shows by Canadian artists. Shows are curated by Susan along with her staff. Inviting many different artists and artisans to the space adds an eclectic mixture of mediums and a new dimension to the gallery experience.
